The technique is believed to be influenced by Dutch culture following the first encounter 400 years ago, which symbolically started to weave Taiwan into the tapestry of international societies today. With this history, the WEAVE art festival provides a platform for local artists from Taiwan and the Netherlands to interact and inspire each other across different art disciplines, weaving a unique artistic experience from a modern standpoint.
